Daniel is a young Tech-Entrepreneur from Ethiopia. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Swift Technologies PLC, an online service booking platform that aspires to be a disruptive company in the service sector. As the GIG economy is growing very fast, digitalizing service booking and the process cycle to be much easier for both the service provider and user is crucial. The company was founded as a research project in February 2020 and became legally registered Private Limited Company in April 2021.
Prior to building this startup company, Daniel has worked on different projects that had been launched and pivoted.
Titan Renewable Energy Solutions is a Tech company that manufactures Renewable energy solutions. Daniel started this as a high-school project. The first mini hydro electric power generator that he built in 2006 made him win different Science and Technology contests and was recognized by DebubTV. He had been working with Wolkite University to make his first prototype when he was a part of the first STEM program held by the University in 2006 EC.
Maed Delivery is an online food delivery platform mainly intended to be used by University students. It was launched in Hawassa University Techno campus where Daniel had been studying. The platform expanded to other campuses of the University in the City such as Main campus, Referral campus and Agri-campus. The startup has also submitted proposal of operation to Bahirdar University, Wolayita Sodo University and Wolkite University. Daniel mentions this startup as the best since it gave him the know-how of building, iterating, launching and operating service based company. He also says that the experience gained from Maed Delivery had played a great in building Swift Technologies.
Daniel is very enthusiastic about Science, Technology, and Business. Anyone who knows him can tell his passion for Astronomy. Most of the skill sets that he acquired are self taught. He really loves reading, and mentions that recently Books are his best teachers than Google and his Father Mr. Abera Haile combined.
